PRAYER TO THE SPIRIT
O Spirit of God, and God of the Spirit,
We remember the many ways You have touched our lives,
transforming us and leading us to fulfill Your mission.
We celebrate the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit among us.
We believe that the Spirit calls us to continue the work of God in the wor
ld and through the Church.
We believe that the Spirit transfigures us from within and we are grateful.
We believe that you will empower us to be Your Presence to each other and to all those with whom we meet.
We pray now for continued hope and confidence that you will continue to generously pour out your gifts.
We pray for courage that we may remain committed to the vision of a stronger Church,
and for strength that we may work tirelessly to fulfill Your will.
We pray all of this in thanksgiving, and in the name of Jesus, our friend.

Dear Friends of VOTF:

Attached is an article that Senator Karen Peterson submitted to the News Journal, responding to Michael Kelly's 11/22 "Community View" article on the Child Victim's Act. She has said that we are welcome to use any points we like to write our own letters to the editor.

Dear Friends of VOTF:

Fr. Donald Cozzens was recently recognized by Voice of the Faithful as the recipient of the 2009 Priest of Integrity award.  Attached you will find
a copy of the acceptance speech he gave at the National Conference in Long Island.  I believe you will find it to be both enlightening and encouraging.

With fiercest hope,
Skip Sullivan

Dear Friends of VOTF:

Attached is a Christmas letter from  Fr. Paul Mast and a form you can use to order his new book, Litanies & Legacies Mysteries & Mystics: Themes for living life as a Spiritual Litany.

Fr. Mast has been a good friend to members of VOTF. He has graced us with his spiritual wisdom, and spoken out in support of victims in articles published nationally. This is an opportunity for us to support him in return, as well as the Benedictine School for Autistic and Mentally Challenged Children which will receive a portion of the proceeds.

We wish Fr. Mast success in this endeavor and look forward to experiencing "spiritual renewal through the legacies of the saints."

Peace,
Skip Sullivan
